Double & Triple Splitting
Shantana is now offering a splitting service for all its firewood. We Double and Triple Split our seasoned single split firewood. This means we providing a Splitting service and not selling double or triple split wood. It is important to understand the difference between the two.
Selling of double split wood means that when the wood is processed it is Double or Triple split at that time and then seasoned, the other means the wood is processed normally and then re-split prior to delivery. This means that the inside of the wood will not be as seasoned as the outside is.
Before ordering please ensure you have read and understood these services a brief description of the two are below:
Double Splitting

Singularly re-spliting our Single split wood

Does not guarantee small pieces

Does guarantee no over size or very large pieces

Largest piece is generally no larger than 15cm wide
Triple Splitting

Twice Splitting our single split wood

Largest Pieces are generally no larger than 10cm wide

Best suited for pot bellies, stoves or very small fireplaces
